Vintage Cousances enamel lidded casserole in the classic orange enamel. Some interior scratches but minimal wear for its age. Cousances cast iron cookware originated in Cousances-les-Forges in the 1500s. Le Creuset, which was founded in 1925 in Fresnoy-le-Grand in Aisne, acquired Cousnaces in 1957 and continued to make cast iron pots under the Cousances brand until the 1980s.
